Orthopaedic Physicians
Jeffrey Dickson, DO
Jeffrey Dickson, DO received his medical degree from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Ariz., and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Specializing in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Dickson treats conditions including fractures, sports injuries and arthritis. Dr. Dickson is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, who performs procedures including total knee and hip replacement with the direct anterior approach, standard and reverse total shoulder replacement, and shoulder, wrist, knee and ankle arthroscopy.
Kerry Hale, MD
Kerry Hale, MD is a Helena native who received her medical degree at the University of Nevada and completed her orthopaedic residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in both primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Hale treats conditions including fractures and arthritis and has extensive training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery. She is an Active Fellow member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). Dr. Hale is the current President of the Montana Orthopaedic Society and the Medical Director of Perioperative Services at St. Peter's Health.
Kelsey Hoffman, DO
Kelsey Hoffman, DO earned her medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL. She completed her residency in Family Medicine with the Montana Family Medicine Residency and a yearlong fellowship in Sports Medicine in Billings, MT. Dr. Hoffman is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine through the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. She offers non-operative orthopaedic interventions such as injections, ultrasound guided procedures and osteopathic manipulations. She has additional training in osteoporosis and fragility fracture management.
Annie Knierim, MD
Annie Knierim, MD her earned Doctorate of Medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb., and received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Creighton-Nebraska Health Foundation in Omaha, Neb., and her orthopedic trauma fellowship at Reno Orthopedic Clinic in Reno, Nevada. Dr. Knierim is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Patrick Curry, MD
Patrick Curry, MD earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C, after earning his Bachelor of Arts Philosophy degree from the University of Scranton, in Scranton, Penn. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Penn., and completed his fellowship in orthopaedic spine surgery at the University of Utah Health in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Curry is board certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Anita Lowe Taylor, MD
Anita Lowe Taylor, MD earned her medical degree from Stanford School of Medicine in Stanford, Calif. and her Bachelor of Art in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. Dr. Lowe Taylor completed her medical internship at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco before returning to Stanford to complete her residency. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Adrienne Bull, PA-C
Adrienne Bull, PA-C earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI, after completing her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University. She has prior experience in rural family medicine and neurosurgery. Adrienne is certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants.
Sharla Dosier, NP-C
Sharla Dosier, NP-C earned her Masters of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Montana State University, in Bozeman. She received her Bachelor of Science, Nursing Degree from Montana State University in Bozeman where she was named to the Academic Presidents list and Academic Deans List.
Matthew Hoffman, DNP, FNP-C
Matthew Hoffman, DNP, FNP-C earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice at Montana State University in Bozeman, Mont. and his Bachelor of Arts in Nursing at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a Certified Critical Care Nurse.
Trapper Hogberg, PA-C
Trapper Hogberg, PA-C earned his Bachelor of Clinical Health Services and Physician Assistant degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He currently focuses on general orthopaedics, upper extremity and ultrasound guided intraarticular injections.
Lena Phelps, PA-C
Lena Phelps, PA-C earned her Master in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of St. Francis in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a Bachelor in psychology and biology at Carroll College in Helena. She is a member of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Amy Tangedahl, PA-C, MPAS
Amy Tangedahl, PA-C earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in biology with a medical emphasis from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, OR. Her primary focus is in spine health, and she particularly enjoys assisting in surgical procedures. Amy is licensed through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has professional affiliations with the Wilderness Medical Society.
Lacy Walters, PA-C, CAQ
Lacy Walters, PA-C earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho in 2006 and her Bachelor of Art in History while completing her pre-med studies at the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho in 2003. She has practiced orthopaedic surgery in Helena since 2013. She has a variety of experience in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine and hand and upper extremity orthopaedic surgery. She holds certificates in Orthopaedic Surgery and Emergency Medicine from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a Director at Large for the Montana Academy of Physician Assistants and a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the American Association of Physician Assistants.
Amy Vander Giessen, FNP
Amy Vander Giessen, FNP earned her Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to joining St. Peter’s Orthopedics as a nurse practitioner, Amy worked as the clinic’s RN coordinator.
