St. Peter’s Health offers several services to assist patients who are deaf and hard of hearing or who need English language assistance.
Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Patients
St. Peter's Health has video remote interpreting services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for online certified sign language interpreters to assist in communication with deaf/hard of hearing patients and their families that use sign language. This program is easy to use and is available free of charge.
Non-English or Limited English Proficiency Patients
Certified language interpreters for patients and their loved ones who have limited English proficiency are provided at no charge either via video remote interpreting services or over-the-phone interpreter 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
