Free 1:1 Behavioral Health Professional Sessions
As healthcare workers, we are committed to caring for others. But it’s important that we don’t forget to take care of ourselves. Recognize that feelings such as loneliness, boredom, fear of contracting a disease, anxiety, worry and panic are normal reactions to stressful situations.
St. Peter’s Health team members who specialize in behavioral health are here to help and listen. In addition to our employee assistance program that connects you and your family with local counselors, you can connect with a St. Peter’s behavioral health professional for no-cost 1:1 counseling via phone. This offering is completely confidential. You can schedule a time to talk with someone by clicking here.
Employee Assistance Fund
St. Peter’s Health operates an Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) to financially assist St. Peter’s employees, volunteers and their immediate family through short-term, emergency situations. The employee’s family is defined as spouse, parents, grandparents, children (biological, adopted, foster, or step), grandchildren (biological, adopted, foster, or step), siblings, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother or sister-in-law, son or daughter-in-law. In order to be eligible to receive EAF funds, the employee must have passed their 6-month probationary period.
Donations to the Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) and the Employee Childcare Assistance Fund (ECAF) are facilitated by our St. Peter's Health Foundation through the annual Power of One Employee Campaign, matching gifts by St. Peter's Health, the Foundation's Annual Fun appeal, and major gift asks and estate plan commitment asks made by the Foundation. The Foundation coordinates fundraising efforts with the People Health and Wellness Department and the EAF Committee. The EAF Committee receives employee assistance requests and determines an appropriate response. St. Peter's Health Foundation is responsible for the financial management of the EAF and ECAF funds. Oversight of the EAF Committee activities shall be provided by People Health and Wellness Department.
