Congratulations to the St. Peter's team members honored this year as part of the Helena Independent Record's 20 Under 40
Matthew E. Goldes, MD, General Surgery
A Helena native, Dr. Goldes joined the St. Peter’s Health general surgery team in 2022 after completing his residency in general surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Montana. In his short time at St. Peter’s, Dr. Goldes has become known for his comprehensive care, gentle demeanor and for going above and beyond for every patient he encounters.
James Verlanic, MD, General Surgery
Dr. Verlanic joined the St. Peter’s Health general surgery team in 2020 after completing his general surgery residency at the University of New Mexico. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and his bachelor’s degree at Montana State University. Dr. Verlanic is known by his colleagues as a caring and hardworking individual, who does everything in his power to ensure each patient receives outstanding care.
Molly Litchfield, MBA-HM, BSN, RN, CNOR, Senior Director of Perioperative Services
Molly Litchfield is the Senior Director of Perioperative Services at St. Peter's Health. In 2016, Molly began her career at St. Peter's as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, and it didn't take long after that for folks to recognize her authenticity and genuine leadership skills. Throughout her time at St. Peter's, Molly has continuously advanced in her role, and in 2021 she was named Senior Director of Perioperative Services overseeing the Operating Room, Same Day Services, Endoscopy, Cath Lab and Sterile Processing departments.
