St. Peter’s Health was recently named one of this year’s Top 20 Rural Community Hospitals in the country. Hospitals achieving top 20 status received the highest ratings across several categories including quality, patient outcomes, costs, financial stability and market share.
St. Peter’s Health joins Bozeman Health as the only two Montana health care systems to make the 2018 list. “I am so proud of our staff and providers for working together to achieve this designation,” said Wade Johnson, St. Peter’s Health CEO. “Health care in Montana and across the country is changing rapidly and it takes a great team to deliver great health care, especially as the needs of our community also continue to change.”
The Top 20 Rural Community Hospitals scored best among Perspective Payment System Hospitals on the iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength Index™ and achieved success in overall performance based on composite ratings. The eight indices of strength evaluated include inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, costs, charges and financial stability.
The National Rural Health Association, a nonprofit organization working to improve the health and well-being of rural Americans and providing leadership on rural health issues through advocacy, communications, education and research, announced the top awardees and published information online at ruralhealthweb.org.
